>> reporter: jessica, good evening. police tell me last time they saw the bear was just a couple hours ago in wayne, while they say they wish they would have caught to it day, they say at this point they are relieved that it is no longer near the school. >> inside, this elementary school in bryn mawr tuesday it was business as usual, but outside, an unwelcomed guest that remains unaccounted for. >> i was just sitting here in my car, he popped out, just looked around, saw the big field i guess and then decided to turnaround and went right back into the woods. >> reporter: recent days there have been more than three reported bear sightings and another three, tuesday morning. prompting radnor township police, city workers and officials with the pa gaming commission to lock down eisen he will meantry and try to locate the bear. >> we conducting a pro active sweep. we have not located the bear. >> reporter: that is when we spoke to lieutenant chris flannigan around 11:30 tuesday morning. this was about 45 minutes

later. while conduct ago this sweep, lieutenant flannigan found himself face-to-face with the bear. >> in the rear of the school, and i saw the bear popping up, started running parallel with us, so we got everybody out of the area. >> reporter: it appears all of the bear sightings have been just one bear, officials they it wandered over from ridley creek state park and after they encountered it, it appears the bear is on the hoff again. >> we're happy it is moving. we are not seeking to see it come out again. >> reporter: were you startled. >> we didn't expect it to be that close to see a 300-pound bear moving. >> reporter: lieutenant flannigan was not hurt. now in each of these incident they say it appears that the bear is going in the the opposite direction of police, so, people rather so they don't think these bears are out to get anyone so to speak but it is a wild animal so they say if you see it out and about, of course, hang back and call the authorities. reporting from bryn mawr, rahel solomon for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> always excellent advice,

child pornography on his cell phone when arrested. he is charged with 25 counts of dealing, in child pornography. and he is being held on $500,000 bail. police continue a investigation of the shooting death of a toddler. chopper three was over that scene on kumry road yesterday. authorities are not sure if he shot himself or something else happened. he has been identified as two-year old benjamin austin smith. his father was questioned by police. and we're seeing edward snowden wants president obama to grant him a pardon. snowden has been charged in the u.s. with violations of the espionage act for revealing classified information he said those were moral and ethical because they revealed scope of the nsa surveillance. he said they prompted significant and much needed change to surveillance laws. he is currently living in russia. st. louis man had his car stolen visiting loved ones at a cemetery.
